
Richard Samson is Director of Engineering at L.A. Turbine Corporation. He has extensive Turboexpander Engineering experience for more than 35 years.
As Director of Engineering at L.A. Turbine, Richard manages an Engineering workforce that has the complete responsibility for all Turboexpander designs at L.A Turbine.
Richard worked with Dr. J. Swerigen, inventor of Hydrocarbon Rotoflow Turboexpander, and contributed to the original patents for multiple stage expander speed control, automatic thrust balance and relay logic control. With a total 35 years at ROTOFLOW, Richard has hands-on manufacturing and fabrication experience for systems and controls. He was one of the team leaders for the first Magnetic Bearing for hydrocarbon applications and high speed magnetic bearing generators.
Richard has BSEE in Electrical Engineering from Pacific State University California. In addition, Richard has completed various management courses including Core Leadership Training, Lean Manufacturing, and is a Green Belt in Six Sigma.
